First drawing of 2011 completed!

In case you’re wondering, from now on I’ll get panic attacks every time I cast my eye on my drawing pad. This has definitely been one of those “eternity projects” where you feel and think: “I’ll never get to finish this infernal thing! Why won’t it finish? WHY!” every thirty minutes or so.

But now... nearly 80 hours from where the idea first began I can finally breathe out.

Huge drawing, some 44x38cm/18x16 inch in size. Almost exclusively mechanical pencil 0.5 and 0.7 mm with small additional digital corrections (like erasing the paper wrinkles from the ‘tea-accident’)

And now some poetry:
Far across the desert sands
Holy ancient prophets stands
Wisdom seekers travel far
To visit those who wisdom are
Truth and answers in their hands

Un-alive and still not dead
Mystic voice inside their head
Peace of mind and likewise fear
they both bring when you get near
Remembering all the tales your read

Giants old they speak their mind
To all sides they both are blind
Ask your question and be quick
Shape of truth might look like trick
Beware of what truth you find
